Nice to see you here, my name is Matthias Bäuerlen. Along with Joachim and Micha, I have been deeply involved with the website since Nature Globe was founded.
I was born and grew up in the beautiful Black Forest, so nature has always been an important part of my everyday life. Whether in the carefree childhood days with games and fun in forests and meadows or of course with the regular “work assignments” in the garden of my parents or grandparents, which not only brought me a lot of fresh air but also a lot of joy and the necessary pocket money.
From the classics like mowing the lawn, trimming the hedge, and trimming trees to harvesting and processing countless types of fruit and vegetables, pretty much everything was there. Even the unloved weeding was definitely not neglected…
Since I have now (for professional reasons) been drawn to the big city, where green and garden areas are known to be rather rare, my green thumb is currently occupied with cultivating and growing various indoor plants. Every now and then, real exotic species from the nearby botanical garden make it into my own four walls.
On naturglobe.com, I am responsible for research, brainstorming and creating or publishing new articles and guides, for maintaining our constantly growing database and for planning and implementing the various video projects.
Of course, we are always open to questions, feedback, and topic suggestions – whether in the comments or by e-mail.
